I simply love this place, I was there about 5 times , I think this is the best Japanese restaurant in Dublin, plus they always serve you to 5* standards, no way you can be disappointed in this place :)

I had a dinner at the Banyi restaurant and it was great, tuna and avocado tartar for the first course was superb, and a sushi combination of nigiri, sashimi and rols was very good. Together with sake, it was a very good dinner.
Happiest staff I've ever seen and delicious food (13/11/16)

Everything was fresh, tasty and the presentation was stunning. Leaf-shaped wasabi, dry ice, boat shaped sushi boards... the whole shebang.

Finally good sushi in Dublin! Not just good, but great! The freshness of the fish, the presentation of the dish and the detail in the wasabi: this place has all the elements in order. I've avoided sushi in Dublin because it is awful. Not Banyi, though; This place really is Dublin's only place to get sushi. We went for lunch and had the best lunch in a very long time...it was so good, I went with another friend the next day. Great service, friendly staff, excellent value.

Many other Irish restaurants could learn a thing or two from Banyi. The manager Terry took my reservation on same day and was happy to help. He greeted me by name when I entered restaurant and gave me great table by window and radiator. All the staff particularly Fuko the waitress were very helpful. The starter beef takaki and prawn and avocado roll were sublime. The finesse and taste of the beef takaki was sublime. The nonalcoholic motijo was excellent. This restaurant raises the bar in so many ways it makes me realise how poor many other establishments are not only in Dublin but throughout the country. I think the restaurant really reflects the politeness and refinement of the Japanese people. I was really blown away by the food and service - a must visit!

Lovely restaurant, nicely decorated. Very friendly and professional service. We shared a gyoza to start which were delicious. We then had 2 of the special sushi rolls which were huge and looked amazing! They were fantastic, really good quality and so tasty! Will be back.

Great, cozy atmosphere. Very attentive and friendly service. Though it's a little bit pricey, the quality of food is excellent and everything we had (we went for the 3 course set meal) was absolutely delicious. Overall it has the feel of an authentic Japanese restaurant.
